During the current phase of the Eurocode Review project, further revisions are being made to version 99/1 of the Core Classification and until these have been finally agreed, the revised classification will be called version 99/2. It consists of the classification listings and category documentation for each Main Group and is accessible through:
Version 99/1 of the Core Classification was completed in October 1999 and discussed at a meeting of the COST Action 99 - Eurofoods Working Group on Food Description held in Paris at the beginning of December 1999. Information on version 99/1 is accessible through:
The Eurocode 2 Review report included a "modified Core Classification" as an initial proposal for a possible revision of the Eurocode classification.
The basis for this was summarised in a workshop paper distributed and discussed at the COST Action 99 workshops held in Wageningen in October 1998. A further paper (The Modified Core Classification with Eurocode 2 revised codes) was also distributed in Wageningen but the form published in the report is included in this documentation because it contains scope notes and example food items. It is available as part of this documentation and can be accessed through:
The Review Project has designated as version 93/1 the version of Eurocode 2 that was included as Appendix III of the draft Manual for using the Eurocode 2 Food Coding System dated March 1993. As far as is known this version of the classification is the same as version 92/1 but this later form is being used as the basis for the Review Project because:
Version 92/1 of the Eurocode 2 Food Coding System was dated 4 February 1992 and bound with the Rationale Document. It is a simple listing of the classification codes and the corresponding category names.
